Google Review Link and QR Code Generator

Paste your Place ID or your Google Business Profile share link below. The tool builds a direct link that opens the review box for your business, so customers skip the search. Then turn it into a QR code with your colors and logo. Download it as a PNG, an SVG or a print card for your counter. Nothing is uploaded. It all runs in your browser.

How to Get Your Google Review Link

There are two ways. Both end at the same review box.

Method 1

Use your Place ID

  1. 1.Open Google's Place ID Finder at developers.google.com/maps/documentation/places/web-service/place-id.
  2. 2.Type your business name in the map search box.
  3. 3.Pick your business from the dropdown.
  4. 4.Copy the Place ID. It starts with "ChIJ" and looks like a long jumble of letters.
  5. 5.Paste it into the tool above.

The tool then builds this URL for you:

https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=YOUR_PLACE_ID
Method 2

Copy the link from your Business Profile

Sign in to Google, search your business name, and open your profile panel. Click "Ask for reviews" or "Read reviews" and then "Get more reviews." Google gives you a short link that looks like g.page/r/... Paste that link above and the tool will make a QR code from it.

â„šī¸ If your business does not show up in the Place ID Finder, it may not be live on Maps yet. A new listing can take a few days to appear after verification.

Place ID Link or the Share Link?

FeaturePlace ID linkGBP share link

LengthLongShort

Both work.

The share link is shorter, which helps on a printed card where someone might type it. The Place ID link is handy when you manage a client's profile and don't have owner access yet. Hit the Test button before you print anything. It takes five seconds and saves a reprint.

Making a QR Code That Scans Every Time

A review QR code fails for boring reasons. Here is what I check before a client sends anything to the printer:

🌓

Strong contrast

Keep strong contrast. Dark code on a light background. Light gray on white will fail on older phones.

đŸ–ŧī¸

Small logo

Keep the logo small. The tool caps it so the code still reads, but a simple square logo works better than a wide wordmark. Run large logos through our image compressor first.

📏

Print size

Print it at least about 1 inch across for a card you hold in your hand. Go bigger for a wall sign people scan from a few feet away.

đŸ–¨ī¸

SVG for print

Use the SVG for print shops. It stays sharp at any size.

📱

Two phone test

Scan the printed proof with both an iPhone and an Android phone.

Where to Put Your Review QR Code

Think about the moment a customer is happiest.

đŸĻˇ

Front desk

For a dentist in Henderson, NV, that is often the front desk right after a cleaning, so a small table tent next to the payment terminal makes sense.

❄ī¸

Kitchen counter

An HVAC tech in Phoenix might leave a card on the kitchen counter after the AC is blowing cold again.

☕

Receipt

A coffee shop can add the code to the bottom of the receipt.

You can also drop the plain link into follow up texts and emails. Many people will tap a link in a text far sooner than they will open a camera app.

Reviews are one part of a healthy profile. Fresh photos help too. See our guide to geotagging photos for your Google Business Profile, or use the bulk photo geotagger for a whole job folder.

Asking for Reviews Without Breaking Google's Rules

This tool makes asking easy. How you ask is on you, and Google is strict about it.

Google's Prohibited and restricted content policy says businesses must not "offer incentives, such as payment, discounts, free goods and/or services, in exchange for posting any review." It also bans attempts to "discourage or prohibit negative reviews, or selectively solicit positive reviews from customers."

❌ Review gating

That second part is called review gating. A common example is a form that asks "Were you happy?" and only sends the 5 star people to Google. Don't do it. Send the same link to every customer. Profiles caught breaking these rules can have reviews removed or limits placed on them.

✅ Honest asking

Honest asking works fine. A short, polite "Would you mind sharing how we did?" after a good job brings in plenty of real reviews over time.

If you also run a website, our free schema markup builder can help you add LocalBusiness markup so search engines read your business details clearly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this Google review link generator free?

Yes, it is free with no signup and no usage limit. The link and QR code are made inside your browser, so your Place ID and logo never leave your device. You can make codes for as many locations or clients as you like. There is no watermark on the PNG, SVG or PDF downloads, and the link points straight to Google, not through a redirect we control.

Do I need a Google Business Profile?

You need a business listing on Google Maps, since the review box belongs to that listing. You do not need to be the owner to build a Place ID link, though. Anyone can find a public Place ID. To use the short "Ask for reviews" share link, you do need to sign in as an owner or manager of the profile.

Does a Google review link expire?

No, the link does not expire on its own. It stays tied to your Place ID. A Place ID can change in rare cases, such as when a listing is merged or moved, so test your printed codes now and then. If the Test button stops opening your review box, make a new link with the updated Place ID and reprint.

Can I make a review link for another business?

Yes, if that business has a public Google Maps listing. Agencies do this all the time for clients. Look up the Place ID in Google's Place ID Finder and paste it in. Just keep the code honest. Hand it to the business owner to share with their own customers, and never use it to post reviews for a business yourself.

Will a logo stop my QR code from scanning?

Not if it stays small. QR codes have built in error correction, so part of the center can be covered and still read. This tool sets high error correction and limits the logo size for that reason. Problems start when the logo is too big or has low contrast. Always scan the final file with two different phones before you print.

Should I download PNG, SVG or the PDF card?

Use PNG for websites, emails and social posts. Use SVG when you send the code to a print shop, because it stays sharp at any size. Pick the PDF when you want something ready today. The A5 card and the table tent print on a normal home printer, include your business name, and show the "Review us on Google" header.

Can I put my review link on an NFC card?

Yes. An NFC card or tag just stores a URL, so copy the link from this tool and write it to the tag with any free NFC writer app on your phone. Many shops place an NFC tag and a printed QR code side by side. That way people with older phones can still scan the code with their camera.

Can I give customers a discount for leaving a review?

No. Google's policy forbids offering payment, discounts or free goods in exchange for a review. It also bans asking only happy customers. Reviews earned that way can be removed and your profile may face limits. You can still remind every customer, politely and without strings, that a review helps a small business like yours.

Make Asking for Reviews Take One Scan

Build the link, test it, and print a card your customers can scan at the counter.
